I am a five-year survivor of glioblastoma multiforme (GBM), a diagnosis received at the age of 26. I was one of twenty Canadian participants to be included in an innovative clinical trial using a tumor-treating-fields device alongside standard chemotherapy treatments. Ever since, I have become a spokesperson for the importance of clinical trials. Despite a prognosis of less than two years, I continue to live a full life without recurrence and recently completed a Master of Social Work degree at the University of Ottawa.
